Strategic expansion of the management team
In January 2026, B&B Verpackungstechnik GmbH is expanding its management team: Alexander Bannach (CSO) and Stefan Becker (CFO) will be appointed to the management board. Both already held authorised signatory status at B&B. With this new structure, the company is strengthening its strategic leadership, securing continuity and expertise, and professionalising corporate management during a period of growth. This creates clear responsibilities and sends a signal of stability to employees and external partners.

Thomas Bruns steps down as Managing Director
- and extension of the administrative building
As part of the strategically planned succession arrangements within the management team, Thomas Bruns stepped down from this position at his own request on 1 February 2024, after twenty years of dedicated service. The existing administrative building was expanded by around 500 m² due to limited office space, creating not only new offices but also a showroom and meeting rooms.

Completion of assembly hall 2.6
The construction of an additional assembly hall represents a decisive step in expanding our production capacity and symbolises our ongoing investment in growth and progress.

Operating properties include 40.000 m², hall area 16.000 m² and 220 employees
In order to be able to offer our customers individual technical solutions for the future, we expanded the central warehouse, office building, production floor and electrical engineering department. We also completed the construction of another assembly hall. After the retirement of Denis Gonwa, finishing 14 year as acting managing director, Derek Gonwa suceeded Denis as managing director for the USA facility.

In 2012, the decision was made to construct a new building and expand the administration building. The main entrance was replaced by a modern reception area. In addition, two meeting rooms and thirteen offices were integrated into the new building.

B&B is gaining customers worldwide
In a short time, the assembly and production area was doubled in a second construction phase. Design and administration were also expanded. In the meantime, approx 50 employees work for B&B. The turnover in 1991 amounts to 6.7 million DM.
1989
Construction of the new company location in the Kupferstraße
Due to order demands and the decision to merge constriction and production, ground was broken for our own plant in 1989. The company now has 12 employees. The delivery and task program was divided into four areas: Automation of forging lines, equipment for the packaging industry, plywood and veneer technology as well as equipment for the sandlime brick industry. The company’s key strength remains in a broadly positioned construction department.

Founding of B&B Maschinenfabrik in Hopsten
B&B Maschinenfabrik was founded on June 1, 1987, as a result of customer requests for the supply of aggregates and complete systems. For this purpose, a workshop was rented from the agricultural machinery company Jasper in the Hopsten industrial park. Design and production with 10 employes were located at different sites in Hopsten at this time.

Foundation of DIBAU GmbH as a design office for
Mechanical Engineering in Hopsten
On 1st Jan 1977, Jost Bäumer founded a design office for mechanical engineering
in Hopsten, which later evolves into B&B Packaging Technology.
Initially, the focus is on special equipment for various customers.
1967
Foundation of MAF Packaging Technology GmbH
in Fürstenau.
MAF Verpackungstechnik GmbH was founded in 1967 as a subsidiary of the Rheinnadel Group under the name MAF-Maschinenbau Aachen Fürstenau GmbH. Initially, machines for film packaging were produced. With the beginning of the seventies, the product range was expanded to include shrink film packaging, corner welders, bundle packers, Vario packers, and roll packers. By the end of the eighties, the area of carton packaging was added to the delivery program.
