Case Study

02
· Paper bags filled with sugar are transferred from a filling machine to the infeed conveyor in an upright position,
broadside first.
· The bags are conveyed into the machine by an infeed belt and positioned in front of the cross pusher according
to the selected format recipe.
· To ensure reliable pre-grouping, a gap is created by a product clamp and automatic forming.
· The cross pusher positions the lined up products on the lifting plate, according to the desired format.
· The finished formation is positioned in front of the main infeed by means of a lift plate.
· The paper web is drawn from a separate unwinder with dancer by an infeed and pre-dispensed to the required
length in front of the main infeed.
· A rolling knife separates the paper section from the web.
· The product is pushed through the main infeed into the pre-dispensed paper section. This creates a band of
paper around the product.
· A powered glue head sprays hot glue onto the open rear paper flap before it is folded and the pack is sealed.
· The packaged bundle is transferred to downstream equipment via an outfeed conveyor.
· Servo drive for cross feed, lift plate, unwinder, main feed, paper feed, cutter and hot melt
application head
· Unwinder with separate servo drive and hydraulic roll lift for easy roll change
· Full wrap with side folding and gluing in throughfeed
· Printer integration in the delivery
· Bypass function
